We design it, supply commercial-grade LEDs cut to your roofline, put them up, fix anything that goes out through the season, take them down in January and store them until next winter. You plug in a timer. Nobody in your house goes up a ladder in December.
Book in September, not December
Installs across Barrie run from late October through the first week of December, and the schedule fills in the order people book. That is the whole thing worth knowing. By the middle of November we are usually offering whatever weekday is left rather than the weekend somebody had in mind, and by the first week of December we are turning work away.
There is a practical reason for the early start as well. Lights go up far more easily on a dry October roof than on a frozen one, and getting the wiring and clips set before the first freeze is what stops a section pulling loose in January.
What it costs in Barrie

Why people stop doing it themselves
Almost every Barrie customer we install for hung their own lights at some point. The story is nearly always the same. It takes a Saturday, the strings from last year are half dead, one section fails a week before Christmas, and fixing it means a ladder on frozen ground in the dark. A fall off a ladder in December is the most common serious injury of the season around here, and it is completely avoidable.
The other half of it is how the result looks. Hardware store strings come in fixed lengths, so they either come up short or bunch at the corners. How much does Christmas light installation cost in Barrie?

When should I book for this year?

Do I use my own lights or do you supply them?
We supply commercial-grade LEDs, cut and fitted to your roofline. They are not the strings from the hardware store: heavier gauge, proper clips, and they survive a Barrie winter off the bay. If you have your own sets you are attached to we will look at them, but most people are happier once they have seen the difference in person.
What happens if a section goes out in December?
You call and we come and fix it, at no charge. That is the part people do not think about when they weigh doing it themselves. A bulb section failing in mid-December means a ladder on frozen ground in the dark, and it is the reason most people who hang their own lights only do it once.
Do you take the lights down as well?
Yes, in January, and it is included. We take them down, label them, and store them for you so nothing sits in your garage taking up space or getting crushed. Next year they come back out already cut to your house.
Do you do trees and bushes, or only the roofline?
Both. Rooflines, peaks, gables, garage returns, columns, railings, wreaths, and wrapping trees and shrubs. The waterfront and Ardagh homes with big mature trees out front often get more effect from a wrapped tree than from another run of roofline.
Is it safe on a two-storey or a steep roof?
It is our job, so yes. We carry $2 million liability and WSIB on every crew member, and we work off ladders and roof anchors rather than balancing on an icy peak. A homeowner falling off a ladder in December is the single most common serious injury of the season, and it is entirely avoidable.
