Pricing and booking

How much does window cleaning cost?

It comes down to how many panes you have, whether you want inside as well as out, and how long it has been since the last clean. Rather than quote a range that turns out to be wrong for your house, the instant quote asks a handful of questions and puts a real number on the screen in about thirty seconds. We confirm it on site before anything starts, and the price you were quoted is the price on the invoice.

Do I have to pay anything up front?

No. You pay after the work is done and you have walked the property with us. We invoice by email and you can pay by card or e-transfer.

Do you charge extra to come out to a rural property?

No. We are based in Horseshoe Valley, dead centre in Simcoe County, so there is no rural travel fee anywhere in the county or in Muskoka. Larger jobs down in the GTA are quoted case by case, because that drive is real.

Can I get a discount?

Two ways. Book a date we are already working in your area and it is 10% off - the booking calendar shows you which dates those are. And if you refer someone, both of you get credit; see the referral page.

How far ahead do I need to book?

Most window, gutter and pressure washing jobs go out within three to five business days. Christmas lights fill up through November, so book those early - installs are scheduled from late October.

The work itself

How often should I have my windows cleaned?

Twice a year suits most homes: once in spring after the pollen, once in autumn after the leaves. Waterfront and treed properties usually want three. If your glass has hard water staining from a sprinkler, that is a separate treatment rather than a frequency problem.

What is included in a window clean?

Glass inside and out, plus frames, sills and ledges wiped down. Screens and tracks are add-ons rather than assumed, because plenty of people only want the glass and should not pay for the rest.

How high can you reach?

Three storeys from the ground with water-fed poles, and higher on commercial and condo work where we use rope access. If you are unsure whether your place is reachable, send a photo and we will tell you straight.

What is a pure-water system, and why does it matter?

The water is filtered until there is nothing dissolved in it. That means it dries without leaving spots, so the glass can be cleaned from the ground with a pole instead of a ladder against your siding, and there is no detergent left behind to attract dirt.

Will you damage my screens?

Screens are removed by hand, cleaned, and put back in the same openings they came out of. If a screen is already torn or the frame is brittle, we will show you before touching it rather than after.

Can you get hard water stains off?

Usually. Mineral deposits from sprinklers and runoff need a separate acid treatment rather than a normal clean, and on badly etched glass the improvement is real but not total. We will tell you which of those you are looking at before quoting it.

Do you clean gutters as well, and what does that include?

Yes. The full run is flushed rather than scooped, downspouts are checked for flow, and debris is bagged and taken away. We photograph the finished gutters so you can see it without going up a ladder.

On the day

Do I need to be home?

Not for exterior work, as long as we can reach the gates and taps. Interior work obviously needs someone there. Either way you get a text when the crew is on the way.

What if it rains?

Rain does not undo a proper clean - the spots people see afterwards come from dirt already on the glass, not from the water. If it does spot within seven days of an exterior clean, we come back and touch it up.

What happens to my garden and my pets?

Beds get covered where we are working, tarps go down inside, and boots come off. Tell us about the dog when you book and we will keep gates shut and work around them.

How long does it take?

A typical home is two to four hours for exterior glass, longer with interiors, screens and tracks. We will give you a window when we confirm the booking rather than a vague morning-or-afternoon.

Insurance and commercial

Are you insured?

Yes. $2 million commercial general liability and WSIB coverage on every job. A certificate of insurance is available on request, usually the same day, made out to your property manager or board.

Are your crews background checked?

Yes, before they set foot on a property. They arrive in uniform, in marked vehicles, and you get a photo of who is coming with the on-the-way text.

Do you work with condo boards and property managers?

Regularly. Storefronts, office buildings, restaurants and condo common areas, scheduled around your hours with invoicing itemised per property. See the commercial page for what your board will ask for.

What if something goes wrong?

We come back and fix it. If something gets broken, that is what the insurance is for, and you will hear about it from us before you notice it yourself.

Still wondering something?

Ask us directly, or get your price first and ask after.
